11 city tour 2009

Gracias a sus buenos resultados en la temporada de SUP 2009, Eric Terrien ha sido invitado a participar a la carrera 11 City Tour en Holanda, 220km a recoger en 5 dias !!
Hoy lo vimos entrenando... cogiendo olas con el SUP en la costa norte, segun él, es el mejor entrenamiento para travesias... tendremos que hacerle caso !

Thanks to his good results in 2009 SUP season, Eric Terrien has been invited to take part in the 11 city Tour in Holland, 220km to paddle in 5 days !!
Today we saw him training... Surfing waves with his SUP in the north shore, apparently this is his favorite training method for long distance races... We gotta trust him !!

La semana pasada ha tenido lugar el campeonato de España de SUP 2009 en la Manga del Mar Menor, Murcia
El Sabado hicieron una carrera open race, y el domingo una travesia larga.

On Saturday they've done a “short” distance race, we made it in about 45 mn
On Sunday they did a long distance race

Hoy, día de la virgen del carmen en Corralejo, Norte de Fuerteventura, salimos al mar con nuestras tablas de Stand Up Paddle para seguir la procesión.

Estuvo guapo reunirse entre todos después de que unos se fueron, triunfaron y volvieron de la SUP World Cup de Hamburgo.

Today is Virgen del Carmen's day in Corralejo, North Fuerteventura, we took our SUP out to follow the ceremony in live.

It was good to catch up with everyone after some of us went to Germany (and won quite a few medals) for the SUP World Cup

Olas y más shape / Waves and more shape

Ayer tuvimos una sesión de Stand Up Surf en olas muy guapas en la costa Este de la isla ; a pesar del viento fuerte pudimos disfrutar de un buen baño.

Hoy nos pasamos por el taller de Magma Customboards justo cuando estaban Abel y Helmut glaseando la segunda tabla de travesía que utilisaremos en Alemania para la Jever SUP world Cup de Hamburgo.

Yesterday we had a nice SUP surfing session in beautiful waves on the East coast of the Island ; despite the windy conditions we had a really good time.

Today, as we passed by Magama Customboards workshop, Abel and Helmut were glassing the 2nd race board we gonna use in Germany for the Jever SUP world Cup in Hamburg

SUP Downwind !!

Otro downwind en el Corralejo run, ayer nos calentamos y batimos un record bajando los 8,6km en 40mn, hoy nos lo tomamos con mas calma, sacamos fotos y ... probamos la tan esperada tabla de travesia shapeada por Helmut Wirzt (Magma Customboards) y Abel Cathelineau (Belway PaddleSurfing) ; no hace falta decir nada, es una BOMBA !!

Presten tambien un ojo al remo que usa Abel, de madera, hecho a mano y con unas curvas muy interesantes ...

Another downwind on the Corralejo run, yesterday we pushed ourselves a bit and we broke a record down doing the 8,6km in 40mn, today we took it easy, shot a few pics and ... We tried the board we've all been waiting for, shaped by Helmut Wirzt (Magma Customboards) and Abel Cathelineau (Belway PaddleSurfing) ; needless to say, it's a BOMB !!

We aren't talking about big waves or huge barrels but about Stand Up Paddle in cristal clear warm water and lot of laughs, in Corralejo bay.
